Jeroen van den Idsert

Jeroen van den Idsert

Executive producer

Jeroen, the founder of hazazaH, is a visionary pioneer who has left his mark on the world of film and photography with passion and dedication. In the past 25 years, significant changes have occurred within the production industry. With the emergence of digital technology and, more recently, artificial intelligence, Jeroen witnessed a transformation in his profession. While this presented new challenges, he also embraced the creative opportunities brought about by this technological evolution.

Throughout his journey, Jeroen has enjoyed many remarkable experiences, including encounters with icons such as Johan Cruijff and André Hazes. Moreover, he places a strong emphasis on his love for collaborating with “the crazy ones” – the creative minds that breathe life and vibrancy into the industry. As he envisions a future where commercials offer immersive, almost VR-like experiences, Jeroen remains optimistic and motivated.

Jeroen’s recurring ambition reflects a relentless pursuit of creating new, unforgettable film memories. “To film a few scenes each year that have never been seen in a film or ad. To challenge a few directors and photographers annually to come up with ideas that could propel their careers to the next level. I am always striving to craft new, enduring film memories… And the best film I have yet to create is still on the horizon.”

Tessel Yunice Schole

Tessel Yunice Schole

Producer

With photography, graphic design, and sculptural art as her biggest sources of inspiration, Tessel Schole is a passionate producer with creative solutions to turn ideas, that sometimes seem impossible, into reality. As she herself says, “no idea is too crazy.”

From Rietveld Art School to hazazaH, this creative visionary, with an audiovisual background, adeptly balances art and commerce. Tessel’s journey from VJ performer during her student days to directorial assistance and ultimately to producer seemed natural. Even as a child, Tessel was fascinated by the projects and companies highlighted in Adformation, such as Unilever. “When someone asked me in elementary school what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always said: I’m going to invent slogans for advertising.”

For Tessel, honest collaboration and equality among creators are paramount. “When everyone feels valued, and we combine our forces, we can achieve the best results.”

At hazazaH, where any script can be tackled regardless of size, she feels at home. No matter the project’s scale or budget, Tessel strives for innovation and creative ways of realizing ideas. Finances should not hinder creative ideas; Tessel will find solutions so that input and creativity take precedence. From proudly winning the prestigious Dutch film prize Golden Calf for “Seven Little Criminals,” which Tessel produced with director Rob Lücker, to the success of “Bolletje”, she proves that unconventional ideas are viable.

Ilse van Gelder

Ilse van Gelder

Producer

Discover the creative world of Ilse, a down-to-earth producer who translates her love of creativity into her involved projects. Her path into the creative industry began with a childhood filled with dressing up and building tents, and became evident during her studies in Tilburg, where she found her calling in the video production industry.

Ilse was raised with the mentality of working hard which contributed to her mindset. “I guess I’m kind of a chameleon. I am flexible and can easily follow the reasoning of others, if it contributes to the end goal.”

What Ilse likes most about her work at hazazaH is the diversity. “Every month we delve into a completely different subject, from Defense sites to a McDonald’s cottage in the dunes at Terschelling. It can’t be crazy enough, and that’s what inspires me the most,” she says. For Ilse, creativity is key in her work. “Colouring outside the lines is really part of the job. It’s not always according to the norm, and that’s what makes it interesting.” Building a whole world that doesn’t exist is what Ilse loves most. Not just copying other films but really putting down new creative concepts. Showing things where you think: ‘how is this possible?’

Ilse’s inspiration comes primarily from films, especially those by Wes Anderson. “His artsy films are my ideal image. The colors, the acting, the caricatures – it’s exactly what I would want my life to look like.”

For Ilse, happiness drives her goals. “Working with nice people, coming up with new creative concepts, and showing things that can’t be done at all. That’s what makes me happy,” she concludes, ready for the next creative challenge.

Monique Janse

Monique Janse

Producer

Monique, a passionate producer at hazazaH, made her mark in the world of television programming before discovering her passion for commercials and films. Her original focus on television shifted to commercial productions, where she enjoys the more artistic freedom and productional possibilities. “You can make even more beautiful things. There’s a lot more attention to detail”.

With a background in documentaries and investigative journalism content programs, Monique appreciates the versatility of projects. “The balance between commercial and substantive productions is something I really find an added value.” It brings Monique fulfillment to create large-scale, innovative projects as well as relatively smaller but substantive productions.

As a mediator within the production process, Monique strives for harmony in the team. She emphasizes the importance of enjoying the work and believes that a positive collaboration enriches the production.

Within hazazaH, Monique has experienced some memorable moments, including the 25th anniversary celebration and the challenging shoot for Euro Jackpot. “It was complex and quite new for me. I thought it was really exciting to work with amazingly talented people and to figure out how to execute it all.”

Outside of work, Monique values a good work-life balance. She loves to go travelling with her camper-van and is a passionate padel player, which provides her with relaxation and energy. Her professional goals include getting to know more talented people, working on international productions, and realizing a beautiful Christmas commercial. Her desire for growth, both professionally and personally, reflects her commitment to the profession and her desire to create quality.

Liesbeth van den Idsert

Liesbeth van den Idsert

managing director

From an unexpected start to the heart of hazazaH: Liesbeths journey in the production industry began as an unforeseen turn of events. When her brother Jeroen asked her to join him at hazazaH, she saw the challenge and took the leap.

The moment that Liesbeth decided to leave the multinational she was working for and joined her brother’s startup production company was a turning point in Liesbeths life. Even though the production industry is not directly related to Orthopedagogy, which she studied, Liesbeth feels right at home at hazazaH and can apply her previous experiences well. “Especially through other job experiences, I’ve really realized how important it is to work with each other in a respectful way. Don’t put anyone on a different level than you are on. That is something I have seen in other jobs, and I noticed that people then drop out quickly. Everyone needs to feel heard and seen”. Liesbeth draws inspiration from people and partnerships. Her motivation lies in connecting people, getting them to reach their best and becoming stronger together. Trust, quality, honesty, and team spirit are at the core of her values.

In the dynamic landscape of creative production, Liesbeth considers hazazaH a unique oasis of innovation and collaboration. This is where not only craftsmanship comes together, but also an atmosphere of “strong together,” where obstacles are seen as challenges and impossible assignments as opportunities. “We always strive for the best. In an industry where obstacles are often considered insurmountable, hazazaH maintains the philosophy of “cannot doesn’t exist.” Liesbeth emphasizes the importance of a mindset that thinks in terms of solutions rather than problems.

She believes that no matter how complex a project may seem, by working together and thinking creatively, a workable solution can always be found.

As a child, Zohra was already a small visionary. “I made my own money and played post office.” She surrounded herself with creatives and dreamed of running an agency for photographers. I like it when it all adds up.”

At hazazaH, Zohra faces the challenge of finding the balance between the permanent team and attracting freelancers, paying sharp attention to budgets and the high demands of clients. Her secret? Punctuality, continuity, and a keen eye for numbers.

Zohra gets her inspiration from being a team member, watching colleagues grow and following the creative process. “At hazazaH Pictures, when you finally see a film on the big screen after a long time and many phases, you think, wow! That’s very exciting.” For her, the personal memories and family atmosphere at hazazaH are the most valuable.

What you may not know is that Zohra has a passion for vintage clothes, bags and shoes, rooted in her hippie background. A creative mind that brings not only financial expertise but also a touch of vintage flair to our team.
